I started my journey much like you might have – with a tool belt around my waist and calluses on my hands. Growing up in a blue-collar town, I learned the value of honest work early on, starting as a carpenter and later becoming a co-owner in a home renovation and plumbing company.
I know firsthand what it’s like to make the leap from skilled tradesman to business owner. The excitement of landing your first big contract, the pride of building something from scratch, and yes – the overwhelming pressure of trying to keep it all running smoothly.
Here’s what nobody tells you when you start your own business: being great at your trade isn’t enough. I discovered this the hard way, spending countless nights poring over spreadsheets and wondering if all this stress was worth it.
But I also learned something else: it doesn’t have to be this way.
Through years of hands-on experience, an MBA education, and working with dozens of trade businesses, I’ve discovered that the difference between struggling and thriving isn’t working harder – it’s working smarter. It’s about building systems that let you focus on growth instead of constantly putting out fires.
That’s why I founded Profit Launchpad. I wanted to create the resource I wish I’d had when I was starting out – a partner who understands the unique challenges of running a trade business and knows how to transform chaos into clockwork.
